Website and hosting
This website provides information, support and privacy notices for my apps. It has no registration, shopping cart or payment processing. Requests involve your IP address, time, requested address and HTTP headers sent by your browser, such as browser details and preferred language. Connections to the website use HTTPS encryption. Connection data is necessary to deliver and secure the website; it cannot be accessed without this data. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in providing secure, reliable information.
The hosting provider is Akamai Technologies International AG, Grafenauweg 8, 6300 Zug, Switzerland (Akamai Cloud/Linode). The server location used is Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Akamai and its subprocessors may process data to provide, maintain and secure the infrastructure.
Logs and retention
Regular access logs are disabled for this website. Technical errors may be recorded in server error logs and may include connection data. nginx logs rotate daily when they contain entries; up to 14 rotated files are retained. This describes the web server logs I manage. Information about the hosting provider’s operational processing is linked below.
Recipients and international processing
Switzerland benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR. Akamai may use further subprocessors outside the EEA for global operations, including providers of storage and support services in the United States. Its published Cloud Computing subprocessor list identifies EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as safeguards. Its data processing agreement provides for appropriate transfer mechanisms for transfers to countries without an adequate level of protection. Details of recipients, countries, safeguards and any applicable EU Standard Contractual Clauses are available in Akamai’s Trust Center. Cookies and language selection
This website sets no cookies and uses no Local Storage, Session Storage, tracking, fingerprinting or analytics. Fonts and images are loaded from the website’s own server. No analytics, advertising or social-media scripts are embedded.
When you visit the main address, the server uses the “Accept-Language” HTTP header already sent by your browser to select the first supported language in the supplied order: German or English, with English as the fallback. No additional device properties are read using JavaScript. No language preference is stored as a user profile. The purpose is to provide an appropriate language version, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can choose a language using the language links at any time. Direct links to a language version remain unchanged.
Support and privacy requests
If you email me with a support or privacy request, I, Daniel Sorger, handle and answer it myself. I process your sender address, message and any attachments you send. For the technical receipt, transmission and storage of messages, I use the email service provided by united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany. The provider states that mailbox data is stored in German data centres. Your chosen email providers also participate in delivery. I handle the substance of your app request myself. Clicking an email link opens your email application; it does not send a message by itself.
Sending a message is voluntary; I cannot reply without a way to contact you. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related requests, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR for compliance with statutory data protection obligations, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for responding and troubleshooting. Send only information needed for your request and remove unnecessary information about other people from attachments. Messages are deleted when no longer needed to handle the request, unless statutory retention requirements or necessary retention for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims apply. Business and tax records subject to statutory retention are kept for the legally required period under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
External links
Links to the Apple App Store and other providers connect to their destination only when selected. The destination provider’s privacy information then applies. This website sends no Referrer header to these destinations. App Store content is not embedded here.
Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please use the privacy contacts above. There is no profiling or automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
You may complain to a data protection authority, particularly the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Rhineland-Palatinate or the authority where you live or work.
App privacy
The separately linked app privacy policies also apply to the apps. Reading a bundled offline policy inside an app does not visit this website.
